The busyness of summer is in full effect! Routines and rhythms change and you may have new faces back in your home raiding the pantry.

A kitchen pantry can quickly become a disaster area as food containers and the half eaten bags pile up!  Apply these 4 C’s to your own pantry project and keep fun a priority this summer!

Clear the Clutter
It’s the same with any organizing project, the first step is always to get rid of trash and things that do not belong there.  Take note of any appliances or items found that you do not use on a monthly basis, as these could be placed elsewhere in your home!

Categorize
Think of the categories in your pantry and create a system.  You will see how storing items by category helps you find it easier and know what you need from the store quickly.  Examples of categories to use: baking, snacks for kids, dinner kits, breakfast etc.

Choose Clear
One of the quickest and simplest ways to eliminate clutter and create an aesthetic appeal is to transfer food items into matching clear containers.  It really gives the pantry a cohesive look, and creative labels make it easy to find exactly what you are looking for.

Create Space
Store anything that’s not too bulky on the inside of the door or cabinet.  It can be the perfect storage space for items that you use the most. And as always when utilizing space well, incorporate risers to fill vertical areas, especially if shelves are not adjustable!
